ATTENTAT SONORE from Limoges in France: punk-rock sung in English and French.

1988 : two teenagers decide to join the Punk Party. Attentat Sonore releases two hectic tapes, full of inexperience and sheer blind energy. All under the influence of Métal Urbain, Discharge, the Ruts, Black Flag, CRASS, Conflict, UK Subs, some postpunk and the diversity of the early US Hardcore scene. Ten years later, in Limoges, the drum machine has been dropped and the real drums era begins, bringing in way more releases, gigs and fun. Albums, and several split 7” with bands like M.D.C. and D.O.A., also a lot of tracks on compilations.
The band actually shared stage with some of its “heroes” : Métal Urbain, Oberkampf, Wunderbach, UK Subs, Conflict, D.O.A., Youth Brigade, the Adolescents, M.D.C., Peter & the Test Tube Babies, Varukers, Negative Approach, Flux Of Pink Indians, Raw Power, Nabat, Ratos De Porao, and many more. Of course we met shitloads of cool new bands (Youth Avoiders, The Decline !).
Somewhere between Punk and early HC, the band never stops raging, always with its DIY ethics put in practice, and part of this network by helping out rather anonymously the local and international bands and labels in need.
30 years later, a new album is coming. Named “Turbulences”, it pretty much sums up the reality of this crazy world as well as the chaotic era the band (now four guys) has gone through. Now we’re back. And as we say here : Limoges Punx Never Give Up.

Line up from the album "Syndrome de Stockholm"
