RAW POWER "still screaming after 20 years" Cd (Mass productions) Damn, they’re back, despite the recent death of their original guitar player. I saw them live two times and I was disappointed, but I was pleasantly surprised by this new album. Basically they still play the same kind of uptempo Hc/punk they’re known for. I think the guitar lines are good, but the rhythm beat is much too slow ! It sounds like the drummer can’t keep up to the guitar players. If the same songs were played faster, it would make up for a good album. As for the lyrics, they deal with the same topics as those on their recently reissued first Lp ("you’re the victim"), but they’re much longer ! Overall and to sum it up, I’m left with mixed feelings.
